For several months, Shane has been preparing for a possible delegation to Kabul, Afghanistan. There is a spectacular peace movement brewing in Afghanistan, and they invited Shane to visit with a stellar group of peace activists from around the world, including one of the grandmothers of peace, Nobel Prize-winning Mairead Maguire (1976). At the last minute, Shane was given clearance! He literally got a visa in the morning, bought a ticket in the afternoon, and jumped on a plane that same night.
We are going to try to fund the trip almost that fast. It seems pretty clear the Spirit has been behind all this, so we’ll trust the Spirit to flip the tab – with your help, of course.
