The legendary Irish rock band U2 recently released a new track entitled, Ordinary Love. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, lead singer Bono described it as a “really complicated love song” reflecting Nelson and Winnie Mandela’s difficult decision “to give up their ordinary lives, to give up their chance to be part of an ordinary love story.”
The song is part of the soundtrack for Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom, the film based on the South African President’s autobiography. It comes to theaters in the USA on November 29. Here is the official trailer for the film:
