10 years ago, Shane Claiborne introduced us to life as an ordinary radical in his book The Irresistible Revolution. This life is one of an authentic faith rooted in belief, action, and love. It’s about a God who is healing hearts and healing a broken world.
Since the release of The Irresistible Revolution, we’ve heard so many stories of folks rededicating themselves to this Way of Jesus by Shane’s challenge – being “born-again-again”. In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of this book, we are gathering stories of Ordinary Radicals from all over the world.
Were you changed by reading The Irresistible Revolution? If so, we want to hear your story! Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your story (300 words max) by February 1, 2016. The top 15 stories will be published here on our blog (with your permission!) and the author will receive a free signed copy of The Irresistible Revolution 10th Anniversary edition.
We want to know who you were before the revolution grabbed you and who you are now. What projects or communities are you a part of now? We cannot wait to hear from your local revolution and stories of how you are finding your own Calcutta. As we share stories, we remind each other that we are not crazy… or at least not alone. Keep living the revolution, and keep inspiring others to live as if Jesus meant the stuff he said.
At that moment, we decided to stop complaining about the church we saw, and we set our hearts on becoming the church we dreamed of. – Shane Claiborne
