taking the words of Jesus seriously

The Wild Goose Festival is in the spirit of Red Letter Christianity. As a matter of fact it is being coordinated by one of the Red Letter Christians speakers — Garreth Higgens. Patterned after the famous Greenbelt festival in England which draws more than 20, 000 attendees each summer, Wild Goose seeks to attract Christians from around the world to engage in conversations ranging from Spirituality to justice and everything in between.

The festival itself is promoted as an arts festival, and although there will be many seminars, the big emphasis is on the arts. There will be opportunities for those who want to participate in activities like pottery work, show off their various crafts and creations, and sing the songs they have pened throughout their life. Participants will themselves be artists performing on stage alongside bands and other professional performers.

I invite you to come and see this great new festival. Won’t you take the time to give ear to hear many great speakers and musicians, and take the opportunity to express your own gifts and share your own ideas? Please come and bring your part to the table.

The inaugural Wild Goose Festival will take place June 23-26, 2011 in Durham, NC. Click here to learn more!
